About

Asia Pip Report maps retail FX in Southeast Asia — with a standing focus on Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam — the way a cartographer works: borders first, brands second. We are an independent, commercially supported publication. We may earn affiliate commissions or advertising revenue from some links on this site; that revenue never dictates our conclusions, and no score or verdict is for sale at any price.

What we cover

Three things, patiently. The regulatory patchwork — how each market's regulators actually treat retail margin FX, which changes more often than broker marketing admits. The entity maps — which company inside a broker group a reader in this region would actually contract with, and which protections genuinely attach to it. And broker reviews written for this region specifically, because a broker's meaning changes at every border: we never blur an offshore entity with an onshore licence, and we never describe leverage as an opportunity. We publish coverage, not trade calls — no signals, no strategies, no income talk.

How we work

From documents. Reviews are built from regulators' public registers, companies' published legal pages, client agreements and promotional terms, and credible independent coverage — attributed as such throughout ("per the regulator", "the company says", "as of this writing"). We do not invent statistics or test results, we hold no accounts whose outcomes we would be tempted to talk up, and we are not licensed to advise anyone; nothing here is financial advice. Licensing status changes — verify the current position with the named regulator before acting on anything we publish.
